My husband was only there for a short time but I was really impressed with the quality of care. The facility is older but very clean and fresh smelling. The office and medical staff are friendly, helpful and caring. Walking to my husband's room I saw staff and patients interacting in the hallways and each other's rooms in a positive manner. If and when I need skilled nursing care, this will be my first choice.

Everyone was helpful and caring for my friend in his last days on earth. It was nice that the facility did not smell of urine or feces, like some other places. I saw many patients that seemed happy in the hallways as well.

We just endured 4 days of absolute hell at the Apache Junction Health Center before getting my mom transferred back to the hospital—thank God. She was sent there with external fixators on her leg and didn’t receive pain medication for 12 hours at one point. A doctor had ordered blood thinners to prevent clots before surgery, and she only received one dose the entire time she was there. That is unacceptable and dangerous.
Her room—shared with another patient—had a broken air conditioner in the middle of Arizona heat. A work order was placed, but no one ever came. Just like so many of the patient call lights that were constantly going off and ignored. I witnessed people being left with full bedpans for 30 minutes or longer, and patients waiting upwards of an hour for nurse assistance.
To make matters worse, the only fire alarm on that hallway had an “Out of Order” sign on it. How is that even legal?
This facility is not just understaffed—it’s unfit to care for vulnerable people. If you have a loved one here, watch them closely. This place shows a shocking lack of empathy, urgency, and basic human care. My mom’s condition declined rapidly in just four days because of their negligence. Don’t let your family go through what we did.

Apache Junction Health Center exceeded all of our expectations when it came to finding the right place for our loved one. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of compassion. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home.
The nursing staff and caregivers are attentive, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure residents are comfortable and cared for. They keep families well-informed and involve us in care decisions, which gave us peace of mind knowing our loved one was in capable, caring hands.
The activities provided keep residents engaged and offer a great sense of community. We’ve seen such a positive change in our loved one’s mood and health since moving here. The food is also surprisingly good – nutritious, well-balanced, and tailored to individual dietary needs.
I highly recommend Apache Junction Health Center to anyone seeking a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for their loved one. It’s clear the staff truly cares about the well-being of each resident.

I haven’t spent a lot of time at Apache Junction Health Center, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a warm and well-maintained community. The location is great, peaceful and convenient, and the overall atmosphere feels welcoming. The staff and nurses I interacted with were kind, professional, and attentive, which gave me a good impression of the care they provide.
Even with my limited experience, I would feel comfortable recommending this place to others who are exploring assisted living options.
