I needed to find a place for my husband who had rapidly progressing Dementia. I chose Cami Assisted living due to the location and the price I could afford. He arrived around 4:00 pm, and unfortunately, he passed away 8 hours later, and his body was picked up within 4 hours after that. So he was not even there for a full day. I asked if I could get a refund and was told “no, you signed a contract”. After pushing, the owner finally agreed to give me $500. I originally gave her $5000. I feel that this was not right. I could not fulfill the contract for 30 days because he didn’t live past the first 8 hours. The right thing to do would have been to refund all but one day’s fee. These guys are in it for the money. I would not recommend them to anyone. I reached out several times for them to do the right thing, and was continually told no. This just wasn’t right.

This facility is a hidden gem. My father has been in this facility for nine months. The quality of care and the love Dan and Cami provide is above and beyond anything we found after touring many homes. Dan and Cami are incredibly genuine people and our father is treated like one of their family. The care, accommodations, food, cleanliness, everything is unsurpassed. The positive energy of the home and staff is very uplifting and unlike anything I have seen in the senior care options available. The food is homemade from scratch! The communication between our family and the staff is excellent. If our father has trouble with his hearing aids, or anything, they call right away. This facility has a good network of providers that come in for house calls as needed and we are grateful for the love and support Cami Assisted Living provides during this difficult time for us!

Over 3 years ago, I helped my parents find an assisted living facility that met both of their needs after my father had difficulty recovering from surgery. He was taking care of my mother, who had Alzheimer's at home. My father did not want to leave his home, but with the situation, there was really no choice. After he was there for a week together with my mom, he said, "if I would have known it would be this nice, I would have agreed to come sooner." My father loved the food, companionship and care he received from both Cami and Dan. I live close by and visit unannounced on a regular basis. I am always impressed with the cleanliness, attention to detail, care and compassion I witness. Sadly, my father eventually passed away but my mother still resides there. My mother's battle with Alzheimer's has taken its toll. She has also had other assorted health issues. Cami is always there with an individualized solution or a modification to help my mom and myself through this difficult time. They also coordinate with a team of compassionate health care professionals, looking in on my mom, and communicating with me about what is best for her. Cami's has truly been a blessing to my family.

When we started looking for a home for my Dad, I wanted a house that was nice and new where he would feel comfortable. I also wanted high quality care and a calm and caring environment. My dad is very particular and I wanted to find a home that he would have chosen for himself. Cami’s Assisted Living is above and beyond what I envisioned for my Dad. Dan, Cami and the staff are very concerned, careful and kind with all the residents. The food is home made and cooked fresh each meal and always smells and looks delicious. The home is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. If there is ever any medical issues that need attention they call us right away and they are very responsive with any questions we have. They are flexible with visitors. The house is secure and very safe in a beautiful gated community. My dad has special pet names for the caretakers. He calls Cami “Mama” and gets so excited to see her when she walks in the door. The kind of personal care that each resident gets is very unique and I don’t think you will find a place like this every day. Moving to a care home was a huge transition for my Dad. He went from living independently to living in a shared home with others. Even though I was sure that this was the best place for him, I knew that it would be an adjustment. It puts my heart at ease to know how happy he is here today, how well he is cared for, and how much he is loved by Dan and Cami and the staff. He has needs that are greater than the other residents but they are patient and caring with him. He feels like this is his home and that he is a part of the family. I am forever thankful that he is so comfortable and happy. This home is a hidden gem and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

My dad has been a resident here for about a year now. He has dementia and Parkinson’s disease, and unfortunately his illness has progressed, therefore he requires even more attention than before. We were blessed to have found Cami’s Assisted Living Home, Dan and Cami (and their son, daughter and staff) are nothing short of AMAZING. From the beginning, they treated my dad, my sisters and I like family. I can’t say enough good things about them and their home. My dad tells me all the time how much he likes it there, how good the food is (he’s actually putting on some weight), and how much he enjoys the things that they do there. He thinks he’s at an all-inclusive resort, and with the way they treat him he has no reason to doubt that. My dad has needed hospitalization due to his condition a couple of times, but when I bring him ‘home’, it’s like he’s reuniting with family. He lights up like a Christmas tree, and there’s always plenty of smiles and hugs to go around. Regarding the reviews about somebody being sedated, that’s either prescribed medicine causing that, or someone that hasn’t spent any time there and perhaps caught someone taking a catnap. I live 15 minutes away, and visit sometimes daily, and I have NEVER seen ANYTHING like that. Dan and Cami genuinely care about their guests, that’s easy to see for anyone that spends more than 20 minutes there. The only thing that saddens me is that there are not more people out there that truly care like they do. For anyone wanting to know the REAL story about Dan and Cami, feel free to reach out to me, I’d be happy to talk with you. I just hope that when/if I’m in need of this sort of care, there’s someone like Dan and Cami around to help.
