Kristina is amazing and has helped me so much with my grandmother. We met with her and she is very understanding and knowledgeable. She was always positive and said can do statements I can appreciate. In this time of need any positive statements are a great mood booster. I look forward to meeting with her again and having her as my support aid. She is a great asset to the company. Thank you Kristina for all you do. You are an exemplary support aid.

Lisa Martinez and the Hospice of The Valley, Dementia Campus are truly exceptional. The campus feels like home-peaceful and comforting with no sterile-hospital like atmosphere. The interaction between the Children's Day care and elderly clients was heartwarming. HOV's commitment to providing training opportunities everyone at no cost is greatly appreciated. Highly recommended five stars!!!

No amount of praise can be too much for Hospice of the Valley or my Dementia Educator, Kristina Gunther. My wife was diagnosed with dementia early this year. Once the initial shock was passed, I had to find out what that meant for us in practical terms. A friend suggested Hospice of the Valley as a place to start researching what is available. That was the best advice I have had on this journey. This is not the traditional version of 'Hospice' where patients are cared for during their final days. Thy have ane outreach program which aims to provide help, advice, and resources for those of us caring at home for loved ones with dementia. Everyone I have interacted with at HOV has been very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and willing to assure we have the help we need.
Kristina Gunther is a Dementia Educator and our assigned contact with the HOV Dementia Outreach program. When Kristina was assigned to work with us, I went from total ignorance about what was available to having expert-level knowledge just a call or text away. Her knowledge of resources is encyclopedic, and her caring demeanor would make any nurse proud. Add to that her helpful attitude, and she allowed me to go from 'dear in the headlights' to 'I got this'. She is a sanity saver, for sure, and I can't thank her enough for her advice, direction, and care.

Our family is forever touched and transformed by the care provided for our dad with early onset Alzheimer's. The assisted living campus directed by Holly Abbott and comprised of the most sincerely caring team members provided our dad with a level of care marked by dignity, compassion, a high level of expertise, and truly so much love. The staff became extended family not only to our dad but to us as well. His final months were spent doing what he loved most- being surrounded by genuinely good people, making people laugh, exercising-walking hours a day with the most amazing caregivers , enjoying unbelievably delicious meals- the chef is phenomenal, and a sense of hanging out with a good friend-made possible by volunteers. Although our dad's communication was limited, some of his final few phrases he could articulate were "thank you" and "I love you." He expressed these two phrases often to the team and knowing him well it was evident his gratitude and love for them was sincere. The arduous journey of caring for someone you love suffer from Alzheimer's is heartbreaking; however, this sacred campus brought us so many moments of healing, joy, and the gift of a lifetime providing the most tender care and gentle guidance for us as our dad was on hospice. As dad best captured our appreciation for Holly and each member of the assisted living care team- "thank you" and "love you."
