This is a fabulous place to live. I was warmly welcomed. It’s very clean and bright. The rooms are huge compared to other facilities. Virtually anything I imagine ever needing is available right there. There’s no reason I would ever need to move again.

I have had my mother placed here for several years. Currently if you are thinking about placing a loved one here I would reach out to the cooperate office and see if you can even get a response. I personally would love to know how or if they even have a plan to fix the “revolving door” of employees. Not just unskilled employees, the entire management team is new yet again, I believe like the 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 years. I personally have reached out to the owners TWICE with concerns. Absolutely, disrespectfully, NOTHING from them. This last time they actually had the new Executive Director reach out to me. She is very kind, however was only employed for a few weeks at best and how concerning is it that the owners/ corporate are so removed and care so little to hear the real issues so maybe they could provide a secure and stable atmosphere for our loved ones! Billing department is rude and will bill for one thing and then try to collect more after the fact.
Placing my mom here was supposed to be so I could be her “son” again and not have to do so much work! There is hardly a person here who has their feet settled in enough to handle that load. This weekend the sweetest front desk gal said goodbye because she is leaving. It sure was nice being greeted by a smiling face and somebody who was always willing to help.
To the Woodmark owners. You cannot rely on the FEW fantastic employees who have been faithful to you forever if you keep under paying them and have them in constant turmoil and insecurity! Thank god for employees like Julie. Do your homework. This place has a ton of potential with some extremely wonderful caring people doing the hands on work. It’s the upper management that is absolutely creating a very unstable establishment!!!!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE !!!
My mother was here for 7 months and pretty much nothing was right. Had to fight almost daily for basic services which we paid for and came with paying the rent of $4000. Didn't move in until Dec 23 due to logistics. Apt was FILTHY. I had to actually clean the apt myself. I attempted to set up a shower schedule. Every week I had to go into the wellness office and beg for her to get a shower. No cleaning of the apt for weeks. The toilet was black with filth. Finally, Rudy the Maintenance Head(also gone) told me "Oh, sorry, I knew she was living there but never took her apt off the inactive list" Finally, someone cleaned the apt besides me but only because I created a scene. For the first month, I actually had to shower my mother myself even tho we paid $500 per month for these basic services. When I would ask Meika (also gone) about showering, all I would hear was "we are shortstaffed today" I can't count the many times I had to go to wellness and demand she get a shower that day. At end of Jan, I complained again and Lena (also gone) came and gave her a shower, forced her to sign a paper stating she received a shower and left all the towels in a wet pile on the floor.
On 3/21/25, mother pushed her button for help with her eye drops. No one came. On 3/22/25, I went to Woodmark and asked the Med Tech why no one responded to the button being pushed and was told that it wasn't pushed. Safety issue. The she stated she forgot to give her the eye drops.
I received a call from Meika advising me that I was to never speak to another Med Tech again. If needed anything, I was to speak to her. She then stated to me that my mother did not push her button, all but called her a liar. I stated that it is a safety issue, what would happen if my mother was having a medical issue and no one came. 3/31, no shower again. I went down and insisted someone shower my mother. Changed shower date to Thurs. Seemed to work for awhile.
Then I was informed that the issue of the button being pushed and not answered was due to an issue on their part, bad frequency and they fixed it.
On 6/27/25, my mother called me at 430am, crying in pain, she pushed her button because she couldn't get out of bed due to back pain. NO ONE RESPONDED. At 515am, I went there and found an employee, sitting in the 2nd floor pool room, scrolling on his phone. Asked why he didn't help my mother, he stated "Its not my job, there are 2 med techs here somewhere, thats their job" He proceeded to NOT HELP IN ANY WAY. Called 911. FD came, took my mother to hospital, NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP TO HELP. NO ONE. New Wellness person hired. She lasted 2-3 weeks. I then found out a couple of days later that Laura, the new Wellness person came in and quit on the spot. Same day that the Exec Dir Charlane quit. Massive employee turnover in 6 months. July 4th came and my mother fell out of bed. She lay in a pool of her own blood before anyone came and helped her. I requested to know when the button was pushed and when someone arrived to help her and Charlane refused to tell me. The carpets are stained, there was scent plug ins in all the hallways to smell fresh. Old chairs with wheels on the legs which isn't helpful to elderly people trying to stand up.
The positive things I have to say is that the Med Techs, Sue, Cindy and Ceceila and Julie are amazing. Along with Michelle, activities Dir. The cleaning crew they finally got before my mother left are awesome also. Management is not. The financial business person is by far not the best. She is dismissive, disrespectful, in my opinion rude, talks down to you when you ask a question. Many people have complained about her. Now lets talk about Corporate. I called Corporate, Katie Finn. Never called me back. Twice. If you think you will get any help from her, think again. After moving out, I have been receiving emails from the billing dept, demanding money for Aug when I submitted a written move out as of July 31 letter given to Kayla, business office.

With close communication there has been recent improvements. I do feel that the the care plans "levels" are vague/confusing, and you cannot seem to just pay for exactly what is needed, so you somehow always have to pay for more, it doesn't make sense. I think this needs to be changed so it is clear and simple, easy to understand. Pricing does seem to increase faster than seems reasonable. I will say that many of the staff are very helpful and kind. The Sunday receptionist has been really helpful to to me on behalfofmy mother.

We arrived at this facility at our scheduled time of 11:00 a.m. After 25 minutes of waiting and receiving absolutely no information from the receptionist as to when or if we would be met by someone to conduct the tour, we left! Never received a phone call to follow up or apologize or an attempt to reschedule! That was a waste of our precious time!
